Digital marketing is rising in importance every year.

According to recent data, 77 percent of businesses in the United States use online marketing. However, digital marketing has several shortcomings when it comes to website design. The main problem is that websites do not look good, and the text on the website is very difficult to read. This makes SEO hard to achieve. Google requires SEO to look professional. Also, many websites are created without the use of XML sitemaps or the use of Yoast SEO. Some websites have poor links, that prevent customers from seeing other pages, as well as their own homepage. This creates a mess for users. According to traditional SEO algorithms, businesses that do not have adequate SEO may not be listed in search engine results. In addition, mobile users also have the same problem. The lack of link creation or poor SEO is what is causing customers to have problems when it comes to finding businesses. The growth of social media is also a negative factor for the overall website search rankings. Social media plays a major role in business marketing and customer engagement, however, with its lack of usability, it can be a costly waste of time. For most businesses, the best ranking will require the creation of a quality website. An average website generates leads and customers. A recent study showed that websites that rank well in organic search are more likely to attract more traffic, improve product or service satisfaction, and earn repeat sales. This study provides proof that customers are interacting with a website and not a website designed just for them. According to the same study, 87% of customers do not find the design and usability attractive. Once visitors do find a website's purpose, they are usually not aware that design plays a big role in their interactions with the website. The C. H. Kress Science of Selling Institute held a panel discussion on the importance of web design, with Rick Cook, an industrial designer and author who has experience working with Walt Disney and Sun Microsystems, as one of the guests on the panel. He has also taught industrial design at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
